India's External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met with Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on the sidelines of the SCO in Astana. Speaking on the meeting and what it means for India China ties, EAM Dr Jaishankar said, "...We discussed the state of the relationship which is not normal...two of us have been meeting fairly regularly since 2020 so that the disengagement issue needs to be completed. There are some pending outcomes...we have to find a way by which LAC is respected and peace and tranquillity are ensured in the border area...we both looked at it...what we agreed at the end of it all was we would ask the mechanism, we call it WMCC (Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India–China Border Affairs), which deals with it to convene an early meeting...both sides need to make a push and find a way by which we can deal with issues that have been pending for sometime"

This means that India continues to play hardball and wont allow normal ties until the Chinese roll back their 2020 aggression and allow India to walk away with victory on world stage.

While China ties is being is increasingly coming under review in America and Europe and the investments in Pakistan are not going anywhere, the Xi Jinping led country might be clinging on normal business ties with India to stay afloat.

Whats more India is also not giving up on Russia ties and China does not have overwhelming domination over Putin led Slavic country.
