Rape accused arrested after protests break out, victim's family alleges few more perpetrators still at large
In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped in her home, leading to widespread protests and unrest among local residents. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when the power went out, allowing three to four men, including the main suspect identified as Faizan, to enter the house through a back door. The accused, who works as a scrap dealer, reportedly drugged the girl before assaulting her.Following the incident, local residents expressed their outrage, resulting in violent protests that included arson and vandalism targeting properties associated with the accused and the Muslim community.
