'GOAT' Box Office Day 1 Prediction: Record-Breaking Opening for Vijay's Film Worldwide

Thalapathy Vijay's latest film, Greatest of All Time (GOAT), is poised to create box office history for Tamil cinema both domestically and globally. The film has seen remarkable success in advance bookings and is set to open with record-breaking numbers. GOAT has hit theaters amid high anticipation, aiming for a massive global and domestic box office debut.

Pre-sales figures have already set new records for Tamil cinema, with the film grossing approximately Rs 62 crore worldwide ahead of its release, including Rs 30 crore from India alone, according to Sacnilk. The film is projected to gross over Rs 100 crore globally on its opening day, with Rs 30-40 crore expected from the Indian box office. With around 12.37 lakh tickets sold in advance in India, GOAT is set to become Vijay's second consecutive film to surpass a Rs 100 crore opening, following the success of Leo, which collected Rs 142 crore globally on its first day.

Starring Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, and Yogi Babu, GOAT is expected to continue strong in the Tamil market while also showing impressive results in the Telugu market, driven by robust advance bookings. Industry experts predict the film will cross the Rs 100 crore nett mark in India by the end of its first weekend.

Interestingly, GOAT features a brief cameo of cricketer MS Dhoni, who appears during an IPL match scene. Although Dhoni’s screen time was short, it delighted the audience, especially since both Vijay and Dhoni are affectionately referred to as 'Thala' by their fans.

If the positive word-of-mouth continues, GOAT could maintain its momentum during the weekdays, further cementing Thalapathy Vijay's status as a box office powerhouse.
