Indian intelligence agencies are on heightened alert following a video from terrorist Farhatullah Ghori, who is believed to have orchestrated the Rameshwaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru. In the video, Ghori, a fugitive jihadist currently residing in Pakistan, calls on sleeper cells across India to target trains nationwide.

The video, recently surfaced on Telegram, shows Ghori urging his followers to cause disruptions by derailing trains and using pressure cookers to set off bomb blasts. He also discusses plans to attack petroleum pipelines and Hindu leaders, accusing the Indian government of undermining sleeper cells through actions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA). Ghori claims that despite these challenges, his group will continue its efforts to destabilize the government.

The Rameshwaram Cafe blast, which occurred on March 1, resulted in injuries to at least ten individuals. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the investigation on March 3, leading to the arrest of two key suspects, Adbul Matheen Ahmed Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain Shazib, on April 12. Both were apprehended in Kolkata and are alleged members of an Islamic State (IS) module based in Karnataka's Shivamogga.

The recent video from Ghori, who has previously been involved in major attacks including the 2002 Akshardham temple attack, has intensified scrutiny by Indian authorities. The video’s call for violence, including targeting railway infrastructure and Hindu leaders, has prompted an investigation into recent related incidents, such as the placement of cement blocks on train tracks to derail a Vande Bharat train. Ghori's activities, including his recruitment of Indian students and his association with IS, continue to be a significant concern for Indian security forces.
