Hoist Karnataka flag on Nov 1, Minister issues directive for all companies, institutions
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has declared that all companies and educational institutions in the state are required to hoist the Karnataka flag on November 1 in celebration of Karnataka Rajyotsava. This directive aims to promote local pride and honor the Kannada language and culture.
Shivakumar, speaking on the significance of the day, emphasized, “As the Bengaluru Development Minister, I am ordering all companies and educational institutions to display the Karnataka flag.” He noted that nearly half of Bengaluru's population consists of individuals from outside the state, highlighting the importance of fostering a sense of local pride during this celebration.
Furthermore, he urged institutions to prominently display the Karnataka flag on their premises and cautioned pro-Kannada organizations against engaging in unlawful activities. He firmly stated, "It is mandatory for all institutions and companies to hoist the Karnataka flag on that day."
"Today, I have decided, as the Bengaluru minister, I am appealing to all institutions, including IT, factories and all establishments, that on November 1, they should hoist a Kannada flag in front of all the institutions," says Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar at a press conference in Bengaluru.
