Nuakhai

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the closing ceremony of the grand procession organized by the Utkal Gaada community on the occasion of the great festival of Nuakhai at Goss Memorial Ground in Raipur.

During his address, he announced a holiday on the occasion of Rishi Panchami-Nuakhai in districts with a significant Utkal community population. Responding to the community's demands, he also announced the allocation of land for a social building for the Utkal community in Raipur and the renovation of the Budhi Maa Temple. The Chief Minister further assured the community that efforts would be made to resolve the issues related to obtaining caste certificates for Utkal Gaada community students. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Minister with the lighting of a lamp. On this occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, Motilal Sahu, Utkal community saints Udaynath Maharaj and Gagan Bihari Maharaj, along with officials and members of the Utkal Gaada community, were present in large numbers.
