Chhattisgarh govt announces resuming footwear, cycle distribution schemes to beneficiaries

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announces the restart of the Charan Paduka Distribution Scheme and Saraswati Cycle Scheme during a district-level women's conference in Jagdalpur.

The Chhattisgarh government is set to restart the Charan Paduka Distribution Scheme and the Saraswati Cycle Scheme soon. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced this during a program held at the Agriculture College campus in Jagdalpur. The Chief Minister was attending a district-level women's conference.

During the event, CM Sai transferred the sixth installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana funds,to over ₹70 lakh accounts of the beneficiaries by pressing a remote button. On the request of Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev, the Chief Minister also approved ₹1 crore for the completion of the long-pending high-level auditorium in Jagdalpur. He asked the women present to confirm if they received the message about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana funds being credited to their accounts.

The event was attended by Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Rajwade, Chitrakot MLA Vinayak Goyal, District Panchayat President Vedvati Kashyap, Mayor Safira Sahu, former MP Dinesh Kashyap, former MLA Subhau Kashyap, Divisional Commissioner Doman Singh, IG Sundarraj P., and many other public representatives. Collector Vijay Dayaram K. provided updates on the ongoing development projects and welfare schemes in Bastar district.
