Ramanujganj robbery case, two arrested, 70 lakhs worth valuables recovered

Ramanujganj: On September 11, a daring armed robbery occurred at the Rajesh Jewelry Shop located at Gandhi Chowk, where thieves stole jewelry worth millions of rupees at gunpoint. Following the incident, the police successfully uncovered details of the crime, arresting six suspects and recovering stolen jewelry along with a firearm. Additionally, two other absconding suspects were apprehended in connection with the case. Authorities seized 1.354 kilograms of gold, 1.058 kilograms of silver, one country-made pistol, and five live cartridges from the arrested individuals. According to the Superintendent of Police, efforts are ongoing to track down any additional individuals involved in the robbery.

Jewelry Worth 70 Lakhs Recovered: Vaibhav Banker Ramanlal, the Superintendent of Police for Balrampur district, reported that two absconding suspects, Radheshyam and Rohit Singh from Aurangabad, Bihar, have been arrested. Previously, stolen goods valued at 2 crore 40 lakhs were recovered. The Balrampur and Ramanujganj police, along with the cyber cell, conducted raids in Delhi, Punjab, Bihar, and other states, leading to the arrest of six key suspects, including the main conspirators Sonu Soni and Monu Soni (alias the head of the Bookie Gang), along with Mamu Arvind Soni and Sonu's girlfriend. Based on their information, jewelry worth approximately 2 crore 40 lakhs was recovered. Jewelry worth around 70 lakhs was also recovered from the jewelry shop. To date, eight suspects have been arrested, and the recovered goods are based on their disclosures, according to SP Vaibhav Banker Ramanlal.

Cabinet Minister Netam Honors Police: Chhattisgarh's Cabinet Minister and Ramanujganj MLA, Ramvichar Neetam, recognized and encouraged the police personnel last night at the Ramanujganj police station campus. He presented a check for one lakh rupees to the Superintendent of Police in appreciation of their swift actions in solving the case, arresting the suspects, and recovering the stolen jewelry worth millions.
