Woman robot walks into classroom, first AI teacher introduced in Kerala school

Kerala introduces its first generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) teacher ‘Iris’. It is indeed a first in India, where a school in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram has introduced an AI teacher, Iris.

The robot, based on generative AI and created by Maker Labs, is ‘poised to redefine the learning landscape’.

The AI teacher is equipped with Intel processor and deployed at KTCT Group of Schools, Trivandrum, Kerala. Named Iris, this AI robot teacher has been made to improve the learning experience of students.

The woman robot is then seen inside the classroom interacting with the students and even shaking hands with some of the curious children.

The AI robot teacher can now speak English, Hindi and Malyalam but the creators plan to equip her  to speak at least two dozen more languages.
