AIMIM Leader Comments on Muslim Participation in Maha Kumbh: "Poor People Go to Earn Their Livelihood"

As the atmosphere in Prayagraj is filled with excitement for the Maha Kumbh, AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel shared his thoughts on the participation of Muslims in the event.

He emphasized that the Kumbh Mela is a place where people from all walks of life, including the poor, come to earn their livelihood, not for religious rituals.

Speaking about the event, Jaleel said, "The poor come to the Maha Kumbh to set up stalls, sell flowers, coconuts, and other items to earn a living. This is similar to what happens during the Urs (annual religious gathering). We never ask anyone about their religion or caste."

He clarified that the Kumbh Mela is a massive fair where everyone is welcome to participate, irrespective of their faith.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s Statement on Muslim Participation

On the matter of Muslim participation in the Maha Kumbh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that anyone who respects the nation, Indian culture, and the Sanatan traditions is welcome at the event.

He further stated, "Anyone can come to the Kumbh; it is a place where barriers of caste and religion disappear."

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi’s Appeal

Meanwhile, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, the national president of All India Muslim Jamaat, also commented on the Maha Kumbh, urging Muslims to greet devotees with flowers as they pass through Muslim neighborhoods.

According to an IANS report, Maulana Razvi Barelvi expressed his best wishes for the success of the Kumbh Mela, hoping it would conclude peacefully and harmoniously.
