Traffic Advisory Issued for Republic Day Parade: Route Diversions in Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram

Traffic Advisory

As Republic Day approaches, traffic restrictions have been imposed across Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram due to the upcoming full-dress rehearsals and the main parade on January 26.

Commuters are advised to plan their travel routes carefully to avoid traffic disruptions and delays on these busy days. The Delhi Traffic Police had previously issued advisories for the rehearsals on January 22, and now, in preparation for the Republic Day parade on January 26, commuters are being urged to follow alternate routes to avoid congestion.

Central Delhi, particularly around Kartavya Path and Chhatrasal Stadium, will experience significant traffic disruptions. The rehearsals have already caused heavy traffic congestion, with many commuters being stuck for hours, especially in South Delhi.

The full-dress rehearsal on January 22 and the main event on January 26 will see heightened security and large crowds, leading to further traffic diversions.

On January 26, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will host the National Flag ceremony at Chhatrasal Stadium, with participation from ministers, MLAs, and senior officials.

Traffic Advisory for Gurugram

In Gurugram, traffic restrictions have been imposed on the entry of heavy and medium goods vehicles as part of the Republic Day traffic management plan. From 5 PM on January 22 until 1:30 PM on January 23, these vehicles will be restricted from entering the city.

Similarly, heavy vehicles will be barred from entering the city from 5 PM on January 25 until 1:30 PM on January 26. These vehicles will be diverted at various checkpoints, and trucks traveling from Jaipur on NH-48 will be redirected to the KMP Expressway at Pachgaon.

Vehicles coming from Gurugram will be diverted at several points, including Hero Honda Chowk, Shankar Chowk, Mehrauli border, Sohna, Pataudi, and Farukhnagar, to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Republic Day celebrations.

Traffic Advisory for Noida

In Noida, traffic advisories have been issued for both the full-dress rehearsal and the main parade. From January 22 to January 26, commuters are asked to follow the designated diversions. Heavy vehicles entering Delhi from the Chilla border can take a U-turn at the Chilla Red Light and proceed via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, connecting to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Trucks coming from the DND flyway can take a U-turn at the toll plaza, using the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to access the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Additionally, trucks coming from the Kalindi Kunj border will be redirected before the Yamuna River underpass intersection, directing them towards the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. With these changes in place, commuters are advised to plan their routes in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the Republic Day celebrations.
