Earlier on Saturday morning, a drone fired from Lebanon targeted the private residence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Caesarea, according to multiple media reports. Social media posts also claimed that the building hit during the attack was part of Netanyahu’s home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and it is said that both PM Netanyahu and his wife were not present at the home when strike took place.
A spokesperson from the Prime Minister's Office confirmed that a drone was indeed launched toward Netanyahu’s residence. However, both the prime minister and his wife were not at the residence during the incident, and no casualties occurred.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also confirmed that three drones had infiltrated Israeli airspace from Lebanon, with one crashing into a building in Caesarea near the prime minister's home. The other two drones were successfully intercepted before reaching their targets. Sirens were briefly activated in the Glilot area, but there were no additional casualties reported, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
The IDF emphasized that the situation is being closely monitored, and no further threats are currently identified in the area.
