Akshay Navami, observed on the ninth day of the Kartik Shukla Paksha, holds immense spiritual significance. Akshay Navami also commemorates Lord Vishnu’s victory over the demon Kushmandak, earning the day another name, Kushmanda Navami.

Meal Under the Amla Tree: It is a tradition to eat meals beneath the Amla tree's shade. This ritual is believed to invite health benefits and spiritual grace. Preparing the meal here and offering it first to Lord Vishnu is considered highly auspicious.
Charity and Donations: Donating items like clothing, pumpkins, and gold is considered especially meritorious on Akshay Navami. Many devotees offer these items to the less fortunate as an act of gratitude and devotion.
Mythological Story Associated with Akshay Navami
According to legend, the Amla tree originated from Lord Vishnu’s body. It is said that during his Vamana avatar, Lord Vishnu granted King Bali salvation through the worship of the Amla tree. This day has since been dedicated to Amla worship, symbolizing gratitude towards nature and its gifts.

The auspicious time for the Akshay Navami rituals is from 6:40 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Devotees are encouraged to complete their offerings during this period to maximize the spiritual benefits.
