The Raipur South seat is seeing a head-to-head contest between BJP candidate Sunil Soni, a former MP, and Congress candidate Akash Sharma, the State President of the Youth Congress and a close ally of CM Bhupesh Baghel.

Voting Details and Selfie Points for Voters
According to the Election Commission, a total of 271,169 voters are eligible to vote in Raipur South, with 133,800 male voters, 137,317 female voters, and 52 third-gender voters. Selfie points have been set up at polling centers for voters to capture their participation after casting their ballots.

CM Vishnudev Sai’s Appeal to Voters
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai urged all voters in Raipur South to participate actively in the voting process, encouraging support for BJP to contribute to a “developed Chhattisgarh.” He posted on X (formerly Twitter), calling for maximum voter turnout in favor of BJP.
