Prem, a 25-year-old from Sri Ganganagar, jumps from a 65-foot-high water tank due to financial difficulties, striking electric wires before landing on the road; crowd gathers as bystanders transport him to the hospital in critical condition.

Financial Hardship

In Sri Ganganagar, a 25-year-old man named Prem, struggling with financial issues, jumped from a 65-foot-high water tank. He struck electric wires on the way down, ultimately landing on the road below. Bystanders quickly rushed him to the government hospital, where, due to his critical condition, he was referred to Bikaner for further treatment.

The incident took place around 4 p.m. in a park near the lawyers' water tank in D-Block, Indira Colony. As Prem climbed the tank, people nearby urged him to come down. Ignoring their pleas, he jumped, colliding with electric wires that caused them to snap before he hit the road with a loud crash, drawing a crowd. Police were notified, and the incident was recorded on video by some onlookers who later shared it.

Prem’s family members, including his uncle Roshan Chauhan and aunt Sonu, reached the hospital after learning of the incident. Doctors provided initial treatment but transferred him to Bikaner due to severe head injuries. According to his brother, Prem was mentally distressed and under treatment. His financial woes had worsened recently after returning from Mumbai, where he previously worked in a shoe factory. He had come back to care for his ill mother but found himself unemployed and financially strained, leading him to this tragic act.
