NIA Raid: 4 Aides of Top Naxalite Leaders Arrested in Chhattisgarh, Taken Into Custody from Kanker

NIA Raid

Raipur/Kanker: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested four overground workers associated with a Naxalite organization in connection with the Chhattisgarh arms recovery case.

The arrested individuals have been identified as close associates of top Maoist leaders. The case is linked to the seizure of weapons from the Naxalite cadre of the Kuyemari Area Committee in Kanker district.

NIA Investigation Reveals Key Findings

The NIA investigation has revealed that the four arrested overground workers—Anish Khan alias Annu Khan alias Ajju Khan, Anil Kumar Netam, Jaysingh Hidko, and Raghuveer—have long been involved in sheltering and supplying essential logistics to Naxalite members.

Furthermore, it was uncovered that these overground workers not only arranged safe havens for the Naxalites but also supplied them with explosives, detonators, and other objectionable materials.

These resources were intended for an attack on a police team near Mujalgondi village in Kanker district.

Planned Attack and Election Boycott Call

The NIA probe also revealed that a meeting to plan the attack and call for an election boycott was organized by Naxalite members Sonu and Prasad, who were active in the Kuyemari area. However, before they could execute their plans, both Naxalites were apprehended.

The NIA took over the case from the local police in February last year and filed a chargesheet against two accused in August 2024. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
