Maharashtra election seat sharing, Sanjay Raut runs out of patience, to dial Rahul Gandhi, bypass state Congress leaders
In Delhi, speaking on the seat sharing in Maharashtra election, Congress leader Pawan Khera says, "When the seat sharing happens in parties, speed breakers may come but we always cross those speed breakers together. There is no dispute. Sometimes, a seat may be wanted by everyone, but then discussion happens and solutions are brought..."
On Maha Vikas Aghadi seat sharing, Congress leader Atul Londhe Patil told media, "The adjustment on 260 seats was completed yesterday night. Party high command and our leader Rahul Gandhi will resolve the issues on the remaining seats soon... There is a meeting at 1 pm today at the YB Chavan hall regarding this... MVA will contest in unison will full power. Removing the BJP from power in Maharashtra is essential for the benefit of the state and we will do it..."
On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut told media, "Today, I will talk to Rahul Gandhi and discuss about finalising the seat sharing. Decision on several seats have been made, however, there are a few seats about which there is no final agreement so far. The time is less now, and I feel that (Congress) Maharashtra leaders are not capable of taking decisions. They have to send the list (of candidates) to Delhi again and again. We want that decision to be made as soon as possible. There are no differences between NCP and Shiv Sena... even with the Congress there are no differences but there are a few seats over which all three parties are staking claim. I met Uddhav Thackeray and told him about everything, he has asked me to do certain things, and I feel that by today evening everything will be resolved".
