Bengaluru entrepreneur ignites fresh debate, with her recent social media post
Bengaluru entrepreneur Anuradha Tiwari has ignited a fresh debate on social media with her recent posts. The CEO of content writing company JustBurstOut initially drew attention by posting a photo of herself showcasing her triceps, captioned "Brahmin genes," which many found controversial and provocative.
Her latest post has intensified the debate. Tiwari criticized the reservation system, stating, “Poor Brahmins are left to die.” She highlighted the case of a 19-year-old Brahmin girl who took her own life due to financial difficulties, contrasting this with the substantial budget allocated for reserved categories. Tiwari's post asserts that the lack of support for economically disadvantaged Brahmins and general category individuals is unjust and calls for unity and resistance.
Tiwari's comments have received mixed reactions. Some supporters describe her as an "unapologetic Brahmin" and a "victim of caste discrimination," while others criticize her for focusing blame on reserved categories rather than understanding the complexities of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) criteria. Critics argue that her approach is insensitive and fails to recognize the broader issues surrounding reservation and support systems.
In August 2022, Tiwari made headlines with another post lamenting her difficulties as a general category student, alleging that reservation policies disadvantaged her despite high academic achievement. Her comments have sparked significant discussion about caste, reservation, and social equity.
