BIG BREAKING, Rajnandgaon Police Recruitment Process Cancelled Amid Alleged Irregularities

Police Recruitment

In a significant development, the police recruitment process in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, has been cancelled following allegations of irregularities.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, state Home Minister Vijay Sharma took swift action and annulled the recruitment process.

The controversy surrounding the police constable recruitment in the 8th Battalion of Rajnandgaon intensified after six individuals were arrested in connection with the alleged misconduct.

Among those arrested were four police officers, two women constables, and two technical team members. The arrests followed the tragic suicide of a police constable, who left a suicide note implicating senior officers in the scandal.

This note, written on his palm, led to an expedited investigation and the arrest of those involved. The incident unfolded after the police registered an FIR on December 16, raising serious questions about the recruitment process.

During the physical tests, 14 on-duty policemen came under suspicion, one of whom, constable Anil Ratnakar, was found hanging at his residence in Rampur.

Other arrested individuals include constables Paridhi Nishad, Dharmraj Markam, Pushpa Chandrawanshi, Yogesh Kumar Dhurve, along with technical team members Pawan Sahu and Nuteshwari Dhurve. All of them have been presented before the court and sent to jail.

ASP Rahul Dev Sharma confirmed the arrests, stating that the investigation revealed criminal activities through mobile and CCTV footage analysis, leading to their detention.

The case is still under investigation, and authorities expect to uncover more details about potential involvement from other individuals.

The police department’s handling of the recruitment process is under scrutiny, and further developments are awaited as the investigation continues.
