South West Monsoon onset likely over Kerala, by May 29

Monsoon onset over state of Kerala likely in next 5 days, says India Meteorological Department (IMD). It is learnt that as the cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea has weakened, the conditions are becoming favourable for the onset of the southwest monsoon over Kerala.

Conditions remain favourable for normal onset of monsoon over Kerala Monsoon is expected to hit State on May 29, three days ahead of its normal date of onset.

According to a weather bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department on Sunday, the southwest monsoon advanced into some more parts of the southwest, central and the northeast Bay of Bengal on Sunday.
