In Kota, this year's 15th student suicide has been reported. The deceased was a 21-year-old from Barsana, Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. He had recently arrived in Kota and enrolled in a private coaching institute just seven days ago. It is reported that he committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his room at 11:30 PM last night.

Kota, known as a coaching hub in Rajasthan, is once again in the news for student suicides. This incident adds to the ongoing tragic trend, with this being the 15th student suicide this year. Last year, 29 students took their lives in Kota.

The deceased student, identified as Parshuram, had recently moved to Kota for medical entrance exam preparation. Sub-Inspector Gopal Lal Bairwa from Jawahar Nagar Police Station confirmed that the police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody, and sent it for post-mortem. They are currently questioning the student's family.

Earlier in May, a similar incident occurred in the Mahavir Nagar police station area, where a 16-year-old student preparing for the JEE exam also took his own life. The deceased, Sandeep, was from Nalanda, Bihar, and had been living in Kota with his elder brother for two years to prepare for the exam.
