Women, troubled by the rampant sale of alcohol and cannabis, have submitted a complaint at the Dabhra police station and tehsil office. The incident took place in the Dabhra block of Sakti district, where women from the village of Navapara D have raised concerns about the open sale of alcohol and cannabis. They met with the police station in-charge and the tehsildar, expressing their frustration and warning of possible protests if no action is taken.

According to the women's organization in the village, some grocery shops are openly selling Mahua liquor, and the liquor is being distributed to villagers via bicycles and motorcycles. The easy availability of Mahua liquor and cannabis is reportedly affecting young children in the village. Despite the district's superintendent of police launching an anti-drug campaign, it appears to have little effect in the Dabhra police station area. While reports of alcohol confiscation are common in other areas, no such news has surfaced from Dabhra.
