Woman trainee IAS fails to show up at training academy, amid speculations

IAS Trainee Puja Khedkar, who was instructed by the Mussoorie-based Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) to appear before the institute by July 23, did not report on Tuesday.
Khedkar has been missing since an FIR was filed against her in Delhi. She was expected to be present at the academy in Mussoorie but failed to appear. Last week, a criminal case was registered against her for “misrepresenting and falsifying facts” following a “thorough investigation” by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) into allegations of misconduct.
The case against Puja Khedkar involves alleged irregularities in her selection for the civil service. She is accused of manipulating her identity to take the civil services examination multiple times, exceeding the permissible attempts. Additionally, she is accused of using a red-blue beacon, indicating a high-ranking official, atop a private Audi car with 'Maharashtra Government' written on it during her tenure.
Controversial probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, accused of submitting fake disability and caste certificates to secure her selection, failed to report to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie by her scheduled deadline on Tuesday.
As the controversy surrounding her selection emerged, Khedkar was recalled to the academy, and her training program was put on hold. She was instructed to report by July 23. The LBSNAA in Mussoorie is a training institution for civil servants. "It has been decided that district training of Puja Khedkar, IAS 2023 batch, be kept on hold, and she be immediately recalled to the Academy for further necessary action. The state government is requested to relieve the probationer immediately and advise her to join the academy at the earliest, not later than July 23 under any circumstances.
