Woman teacher shot at, for rejecting ‘friendship’ of former boy student

A boy is alleged to have shot at a 28-year-old computer teacher of a coaching centre in Bijnor. It is alleged that the boy was a former student of this coaching centre and was furious that the teacher rejected his ‘friendship’ proposal.

The teacher was shot at in front of other pupils and continued to battle for her life at a medical facility in Meerut but she lost it.

Additional superintendent of police (Bijnor), Sanjeev Vajpai, said, “The incident took place around 10:30 am at the centre situated on Vidurkuti Road.

 

The additional SP further confirmed that the accused has been arrested on Friday evening is being questioned. An FIR was registered under IPC 307 (attempt to murder) against the accused, he said.

Police informed that critically-injured teacher, Komal, was admitted to district hospital from where she was shifted to a hospital in Meerut.

“On Friday, the accused went to the centre for syllabus revision, and when found the opportunity he shot at the woman. Further investigations into the matter are underway. Action will be taken accordingly,” he added.
