Woman shot dead in broad daylight, was waiting at bus stand

A woman was shot dead in broad daylight at a bus stand in Mahendragarh, Haryana, on Friday. The sudden gunfire caused panic, with people at the bus stand scattering in fear. The victim has been identified as Munni Devi, a resident of Khudana village in Mahendragarh district.

Munni Devi and her husband Dinesh had come to Mahendragarh for some work and were waiting at the bus stand to return to their village when a young man approached and shot her in the head. Munni Devi collapsed and was immediately rushed to Mahendragarh Civil Hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

The police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The incident was captured on CCTV, showing a masked attacker shooting Munni Devi.

The victim's husband claimed that the murder was the result of an ongoing land dispute. He identified the attacker as his nephew, who, along with two others named Rohit and Vishnu, had previously threatened them. Local police station in-charge Sudhir Kumar confirmed that the killing was linked to the land dispute between the two families. He added that a case has been registered and the investigation is ongoing, with efforts underway to apprehend the accused.
