Puja Khedkar, a former IAS probationer, has expressed her willingness to undergo a medical examination at AIIMS in response to allegations from the Delhi Police that one of her disability certificates might be "forged" and "fabricated." Khedkar made this statement during her anticipatory bail hearing at the Delhi High Court.

Senior counsel representing Khedkar stated, "I am willing to get myself medically examined. Initially, they claimed I changed my name; now they question my disability. I am prepared to go to AIIMS." Justice Subramonium Prasad has scheduled the next hearing for September 26 and noted that the police have requested an additional 10 days for further investigation. Khedkar's interim protection from arrest remains in effect until the next hearing.

The Delhi Police contends that Khedkar concealed her true eligibility while taking the civil services examination and has accused her of submitting a fake disability certificate. They also claim that her name was altered on the certificate. The police argue that her custody is crucial to uncovering the broader "conspiracy" and identifying other involved parties.

Khedkar's defense asserts that the police have not sought her custodial interrogation and argue that all necessary records are already with the authorities. The police's counter affidavit highlights that Khedkar allegedly used two disability certificates to claim multiple disabilities, which are suspected to be forged.

Previously, the UPSC filed an FIR against Khedkar for alleged fraud related to her disability certificates, and the Delhi High Court had extended her interim protection from arrest until the September 5 hearing.
