Video goes viral, as it appears bird helps national tricolour unfurl
A video showcasing a bird seemingly helping to unfurl the Indian national flag during Independence Day celebrations in Kerala has gone viral, amassing over one million views since its posting on August 17. The clip depicts the flag getting stuck at the top of the pole, and as it remains unfurled, a bird appears to fly towards it, coincidentally leading to the flag being fully unfurled and flower petals being scattered.
The video was shared on social media by Shilpa, who captioned it: "Kerala-National Flag got stuck at the top while hoisting. A bird came from nowhere and unfurled it!!" The footage quickly gained attention, with many viewers interpreting the bird's presence as a sign of divine intervention.
However, a follow-up video posted in the comments reveals a different perspective. This second video, taken from a different angle, shows that the bird did not approach the flagpole. Instead, it perched on a coconut leaf behind the flagpole before flying away. This new footage clarifies that the bird was not involved in the flag's unfolding.
