U.S. envoy meets Congress chief, days ahead of Rahul Gandhi's America visit
Eric Garcetti, the U.S. Ambassador to India, paid a courtesy visit to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge at Kharge's official residence in New Delhi.
Garcetti was accompanied by Minister-Counselor of Political Affairs Graham Mayer and Chief of Staff Lisa Brown. This visit comes just ahead of Rahul Gandhi's trip to the United States, scheduled for September 8 to 10.
In a post shared on his 'X' handle, Kharge highlighted the strong global strategic partnership between India and the U.S., emphasizing their shared democratic values. He expressed his pleasure in discussing ways to further enhance this relationship.
