Union Sports Ministry suspends the newly elected body of Wrestling Federation of India after the newly elected president Sanjay Singh announced U-15 and U-20 nationals to take place in Nandini Nagar, Gonda (UP) before the end of this year.
It was announced that the contest will be held in Gonda, the stronghold of Brij Bhushan Singh.
“I was in a flight and I don’t know the details. I have not even received the letter. I will first take a look at the letter and then take a step. I don’t want to make a comment right now,” says newly-elected WFI president Sanjay Kumar Singh in response to a media query on Sports ministry suspending Wrestling Federation of India till further notice.
