United States has confirmed that American Secretary of State Antony J Blinken will travel to New Delhi to participate in the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue, joined by Secretary of Defense Lloyd J Austin III.
The delegation will meet with Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar, Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh, and other senior Indian officials to discuss both bilateral and global concerns and developments in the Indo-Pacific.
The visit comes at a time when Russia Ukraine conflict and Israel Hamas war is ongoing while China is getting increasingly aggressive in the South China sea but also on border with India along the Himalayas.
India is increasingly siding with US and is also looking forward to working on cutting edge technology like semiconductor, AI, quantum computing.
The finalization of jet engine tech to be transferred to India and the deal for long range American armed drones to keep an eye from Malacca strait all the way to strait of Hormuz would surely be taken up.
