A man lost his life in Sawai Madhopur after a tiger attack in the village of Uliana, located near the Ranthambore National Park. The victim was grazing goats in a field when the tiger suddenly attacked, resulting in his immediate death. Witnesses reported that the tiger remained by the body for approximately 20 minutes before retreating into the forest after villagers raised an alarm.

Following the incident, locals accused the Forest Department of inaction despite being notified. Angered by the lack of response, they blocked the Sawai Madhopur-Kundera road in protest. Local police arrived at the scene to pacify the villagers and restore order.

Villagers expressed fear over frequent sightings of wild animals in the area. They reported that wild animals have killed around 35 buffaloes and over 20 goats in recent weeks, causing widespread concern. Although the Forest Department was informed of these incidents, villagers claim no concrete measures have been taken to ensure their safety.

In a separate incident on the same day, a panther attacked a young man near Pushkar’s annual cattle fair. The injured individual was hospitalized, and the attack has left both locals and visiting traders in fear.
