Three killed, five injured in a major accident, three vehicles pile up
In a tragic accident on Saturday morning in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district, three people lost their lives and at least five others were injured when a collision occurred between three vehicles, including a police car. The incident took place on the Neemuch-Chittorgarh road. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Ankit Jaiswal, the collision involved a police vehicle, a pickup truck, and a larger truck with Haryana registration.
SP Jaiswal explained that the pickup and the police vehicle were stationary when the truck rammed into the pickup, causing it to collide with the police vehicle. The force of the impact overturned the police vehicle, and the truck driver fled the scene immediately. The pickup was traveling from Indore to Ajmer, and two occupants of the pickup and the private driver of the police vehicle were killed in the accident. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
In a related incident on August 16, a multi-vehicle accident occurred on the Mumbai-Agra Highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Shajapur district. A mini truck carrying vegetables struck an animal, leading to a chain reaction of collisions. The mini truck was hit from behind by a heavy goods truck, which then lost control and crashed into another truck coming from the opposite direction. This accident resulted in the deaths of truck drivers Jaipal Singh, 45, and Anil Yadav, 35. Three others injured in the accident were taken to district hospitals in Shajapur and Dewas. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) T.S. Baghel confirmed that a case has been registered and a thorough investigation is underway.
