Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Tamil Nadu president Armstrong was hacked to death by an unidentified mob of 6 people near his residence in Perambur, Chennai. The local police is out searching for the accused. The incident took place in Sembium police jurisdiction.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) workers and supporters blocked a road in Chennai to protest against the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP president Armstrong. They are demanding immediate arrest of the accused. On the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP president K. Armstrong, Tamil Nadu BJP Vice President Narayanan Thirupathy says, "... The old Madras is becoming a city of murders... Continuous murders and hacking of people to death are happening in the entire state, by anti-social elements, hired gangs and hired police... In the last 2-3 years, we have seen the Dravida model of this DMK government... Where is the police and administration? There is a complete failure of administration in the state. This is mainly because of the drug syndicate... The government is unable to control the drug syndicate and illicit liquor... Police need to be given a free hand, otherwise, the murders will go on... The police have not taken any precautions and it needs to be investigated how such gangs have suddenly emerged... If the CM is not in a position to control this mess, he must resign."

It is learnt that K Armstrong, the Tamil Nadu state unit president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), was hacked to death by a six-member gang on Friday evening near Perambur in the city. The 47 year old was chatting with friends and supporters near his house when the assailants attacked him.

Such was the ferocity of the attack that Armstrong’s friends fled. The armed gang wielded machetes and sickles and threatened anyone for attempt to intervene. Even as the Armstrong's family members rushed to the scene, it was too late as they spotted him lying in a pool of blood.

The political figure sustained severe injuries to his head and neck. Even as he was rushed to the private hospital in the city, the doctors pronounced him dead.

Police is under pressure to crack the case at the earliest as BSP supremo Mayawati has condemned the attack on his party colleague from Tamil Nadu. Deputy Commissioner of Police I Eswaran and Assistant Commissioner of Police Praveen Kumar visited the crime scene.

Chennai police has constituted 10 special teams under the leadership of Tr. Asra Garg IPS., Addl.COP (North) to probe the murder of Tamil Nadu BSP president Armstrong.

"Tamilnadu BSP chief, a Dalit, is hacked to death. Expect Third Time Fail Rahul Gandhi to maintain radio silence, just like the hooch tragedy, because the Congress depends on the DMK for its relevance in TN. This kind of perverse politics is the ugly face of Balak Buddhi…", says BJP leader Amit Malviya on X.
