Swine flu is rapidly spreading in Chhattisgarh, with Durg district also witnessing a significant increase in the number of cases. In the last 20 days, 23 cases of swine flu have been reported in the district, with three deaths so far.

According to reports, a resident of Sector 4 passed away today due to swine flu. Earlier, two elderly individuals from Sector 5 and Kumhari also succumbed to the disease. Yesterday, three new cases were reported in Bhilai, with patients from Kohka, Camp 1, and Padumnagar. These three patients have been admitted to private hospitals in Raipur. In Bhilai, two patients are receiving treatment at Shri Shankaracharya Medical College and Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College, while three others are being treated at home. 

In response, the Durg District Collector has issued an advisory through the Health Department to all government and private hospitals regarding swine flu. Family members of new swine flu patients are being tested, and health camps are being organized in affected areas to monitor the health of the community.
