Swine flu positive confirmed case emerges in Khairagarh, health department goes on an alert
Swine flu has made its presence felt in Khairagarh district of Chhattisgarh, with one confirmed positive case. A resident of the Gayatri Mandir area in Chhuikhadan has tested positive for swine flu. The health department has become alert and is conducting a survey of all residents in the ward. The department has urged people to take precautions against swine flu and to visit the hospital immediately for testing if symptoms are observed.
The patient had been suffering from cold, cough, and fever for the past seven days and initially sought treatment from a private doctor. Later, he was admitted to the government hospital in Chhuikhadan. His wife then had him admitted to a private hospital in Rajnandgaon for further treatment, where he tested positive for swine flu.
Upon receiving the information, Block Medical Officer Dr. Manish Baghel, along with his team, visited the Gayatri Mandir area and collected samples from children as part of contact tracing. A survey of all residents in the ward is also being conducted. The health department continues to appeal to the public to seek immediate medical attention and testing if any symptoms of swine flu are observed.
