Surajpur crime shocks Chhattisgarh, now politics takes over
In recent days, the crime rate in the state of Chhattisgarh has surged dramatically, sparking widespread outrage following the murder of a head constable's wife and daughter in Surajpur. The incident has now taken a political turn, with the Chhattisgarh BJP launching a sharp attack on the ruling Congress party.
The BJP recently posted on its social media account, targeting the Congress by sharing a photo of Bhilai Congress MLA Devendra Yadav alongside two key accused from the Sarguja case. The post read, “The colors will blend well when three friends sit in jail… every criminal will be jailed, zero tolerance under the Vishnu government.”
The BJP and Congress have been trading blows since the Surajpur double murder case, with tensions running high. Meanwhile, police have arrested the prime suspect, Kuldeep Sahu, and are continuing their investigation. Along with Sahu, five other suspects, including NSUI leader CK Chaudhary, have been taken into custody in connection with the case.
