Student recorded video of his teacher, shared it with friends, know more
A young woman from Agra found herself in a serious predicament in Mathura. She was ensnared by a tenth-grade student from the school where she teaches, who recorded an explicit video and blackmailed her. When the teacher tried to distance herself, he shared the video with his friends, who then began calling her to come over. When she refused, they created an Instagram page to further harass her.
The "Mission Shakti" campaign provided the victim with the courage to approach the police. Authorities are actively pursuing the accused. The young woman, a resident of Shahganj, was renting a house in the Jait area of Mathura while working at a school. She initially noticed that one of her students, who was struggling academically and older than his peers, might benefit from her additional help, so she started giving him extra time. Gradually, he gained her trust and got close to her, ultimately recording a video that he began to use for blackmail.
When the teacher tried to distance herself and decided to quit her job, she returned home and stopped answering his calls, blocking his number. However, she felt unable to file a complaint. Things took a turn for the worse when the student shared the video with three of his friends from his village, who began contacting her and blackmailing her via WhatsApp, pressuring her to meet them.
Desperate, the teacher even attempted suicide and left her school, feeling lost about what to do. It was during this challenging time that she learned about the "Mission Shakti" campaign on social media and felt that the police might be able to help her. The student’s friends had also created an Instagram page where they uploaded the video.
The victim reached out to DCP City Suraj Kumar Rai, who took the matter seriously. The police have conducted raids and arrested three of the accused. The victim wishes for the videos to be deleted everywhere and hopes not to have to file a formal complaint. The police assured her of their full support, stating her identity would remain confidential and the accused would be prosecuted. However, the perpetrator who created the Instagram page has yet to be apprehended. Significant action from the police is expected on Saturday, and they have requested a formal complaint from the victim. If she chooses not to file one, the police will take action independently. So far, the police have successfully deleted videos from multiple sources.
