Spiritual Leader Devkinandan Thakur Urges UN to Act on Violence in Bangladesh

Bangladesh

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh – Renowned spiritual leader Devkinandan Thakur has made a fervent appeal to the United Nations, calling for immediate intervention in the ongoing violence against minority communities in Bangladesh. Addressing a gathering, Thakur criticized the UN for its silence and inaction, demanding justice and protection for the victims.

Thakur’s Plea to the UN

Thakur revealed that he had written a letter to the UN, reminding the global organization of its foundational purpose. “The UN was established to stand against attacks on humanity anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, it remains silent now,” he said.

He cited the case of Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh, whose two lawyers were allegedly brutally attacked. “They didn’t want Chinmoy Krishna Das’s trial to proceed, ensuring he would remain in jail forever,” Thakur claimed, emphasizing the dire need for international intervention.

Reports of Violence Highlighting the severity of the situation, Thakur alleged that women and children are being attacked, homes torched, and entire communities targeted. “If the UN cannot take action to protect these people, then it has no reason to exist. Dissolve the UN,” he declared.

Call for Accountability

Thakur’s remarks underline a broader concern about the plight of minority communities and the perceived lack of response from international bodies. His strong statements have drawn attention to the urgent need for a resolution and have sparked discussions on the role of global organizations like the UN in addressing human rights violations.

As the situation unfolds, all eyes are on the UN and the international community to see if they will heed these calls for action and provide justice to those affected in Bangladesh.
