In poll bound Madhya Pradesh, proving oneself devout Hindu is becoming more important than other public interest issues or so it seems.
Former Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijay Singh revealed that he sent a cheque of Rs one lakh and 11 thousand to Prime Minister Modi for Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP too has been attacking the opposition Congress that they often come across anti Hindu and object to Hindu deities and religious symbols.
Responding to this allegation, Digvijay Singh said while CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan donated Rs one lakh for Ayodhya Ram Mandir, he went ahead and sent a cheque of Rs 1 lakh and eleven thousand for the that very temple.
But, he added, using Hindu faith in election is prohibited even if one is a devout Hindu and devotee of Sri Ram.
