In the naxal-affected Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, security forces discovered weapons and explosive materials hidden by naxalites in the forests of Chhotekadwal within the Kistaram police station area. The seized items included a shotgun, detonators, cordex wires, fireworks, speakers, batteries, and naxalite banners.

According to reports, the security forces, comprising teams from the Kistaram police station and the 208 Cobra Battalion, conducted a search operation in the forests of Chhotekadwal, Singnamadgu, and Kamaram. Upon arrival in the Chhotekadwal forest around 7 AM, the naxalites fled upon detecting the presence of the security forces. During the search, the forces uncovered the hidden weapons and other materials from naxalite hideouts.

Earlier on Tuesday, based on information about naxalite presence in the Konta and Kistaram areas, a joint team of CRPF and district forces carried out a search operation in the Duleid and Mukrajkonda regions. During this operation, a six-kilogram pipe bomb was found near Pantaduleid and was subsequently defused by the bomb disposal squad.
