Scorching heat wave in India, traffic police personnel provided with AC helmets

Amid scorching heat waves tormenting the people in India, in Gujarat, the Vadodara Traffic Police has provided AC helmets to its personnel to beat strong summer. The AC helmet was developed by students of IIM Vadodara.

“These have been given to personnel deployed during daytime on roads. It is battery operated helmet which help in maintaining the body temperature. 450 personnel have been given this helmet”, says the police personnel.

Talking to ANI, DCP Traffic Jyoti Patel confirmed, “Earlier, it was experimented on approx 100 traffic police personnel and then we increased the number to 460. We are trying to distribute as many helmets as possible and trying to protect them from dehydration…”.
