School peon accused of molesting girl students, outrage grows

In a shocking incident from a higher secondary school in the interior region of the Koylibeda development block, a peon has been accused of engaging in obscene behavior with female students.

Reports indicate that videos have surfaced showing the peon acting inappropriately with a 12th-grade student. Students have quietly expressed that such behavior from the peon is common at the school, suggesting a troubling pattern of misconduct.

The inappropriate acts reportedly begin before school hours and continue until teachers arrive. While classroom doors are closed during these incidents, the windows remain open, allowing students and outsiders to witness the peon's actions.

One bystander managed to record a video of the events, which subsequently reached the attention of school authorities. Upon learning of the situation, the school administration issued a notice to the peon, Prakash Saha, who defended his actions by claiming he was comforting a crying student due to her family's illness.

The principal, however, has been evasive when asked for comments, reportedly turning off his phone after the allegations surfaced. When contacted, the acting principal, Mansharam Vatti, indicated that he could not provide information as he was waiting for the principal’s instructions.

After being informed about media inquiries, he was seen approaching the principal with his phone. Principal B.L. Mandavi stated that he had not viewed the video but acknowledged issuing a show-cause notice to Saha on December 10. In his response on December 11, Saha claimed the student was like a sister to him. Following this explanation, it appears that the investigation into the matter has been abruptly closed.

This incident raises serious concerns about student safety and accountability within educational institutions in the region.
