Salman Khan Threat Case: Lyricist of Upcoming Film Arrested by Mumbai Police

Salman Khan

Mumbai Police have arrested a 24-year-old man, identified as Sohel Pasha, for allegedly sending threatening messages to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Pasha, who is reportedly the lyricist of a song in Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar, was taken into custody in Raichur, Karnataka, by the crime branch and handed over to the Worli police station in Mumbai.

According to officials, Pasha, also known as Rasul Pasha, allegedly sent the threats for publicity, hoping the high-profile case would bring him attention. He is accused of demanding ₹5 crore from Khan and threatening to kill both the actor and himself, posing as a third-party in the threat. An FIR has been registered at Worli police station, and the investigation revealed that Pasha wanted Khan to think the threat originated from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously targeted the actor.

In a separate incident, Mumbai Police also arrested a lawyer, Faizan Khan, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on charges related to a death threat against actor Shah Rukh Khan. Faizan allegedly demanded ₹50 lakh and was presented in a Raipur court, which granted a three-day transit remand for further investigation in Mumbai.

This twist in the Salman Khan threat case highlights the security risks Bollywood stars face, as well as the bizarre lengths some individuals will go for publicity.
