Indian Ambassador to Russia, Pavan Kapoor, shared about how he is pleased to greet and wish success to the Russian Ramlila troupe that will be performing during the Deepotsav Ayodhya celebrations later this week.
The Indian envoy also noted that he warmly welcomed the recent resumption of this tradition established by Russian actor, Gennady Pechnikov, who regularly performed the Ramlila in India from 1960 to 1980 and was conferred the Padma Shri in 2008.
