A viral video featuring BJP MLA Pradeep Patel from Mauganj has sparked widespread attention on social media. In the footage, Patel is seen lying face down with his arms outstretched in front of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anurag Pandey. The incident took place at the ASP's office, where the legislator, accompanied by supporters, suddenly prostrated himself before the officer, accusing some police personnel of plotting to have him killed by criminals.

Patel alleged that despite his repeated complaints about the growing issue of illegal drug trafficking in the district, the police have failed to take action. He claimed that drug-related crimes have skyrocketed, destroying families and increasing criminal activity in the area. Frustrated by the lack of response, the BJP MLA resorted to this dramatic gesture, pleading for protection for himself and his constituents.

In the video, Patel can be heard questioning the ASP's actions, accusing the officer of neglecting public safety. As the situation unfolded, onlookers were left stunned, and the video quickly went viral. The dramatic scene has ignited a debate about the law and order situation in the region, with Patel's supporters defending his actions as a cry for justice.

The controversy also drew reactions from opposition leaders. Congress leader and former Union Minister Arun Yadav tweeted, stating that the incident is proof of the deteriorating law and order in Madhya Pradesh. Yadav questioned how the general public, especially women, could feel safe when even a ruling party MLA had to resort to such extreme measures for his own security.

In response to the viral video, authorities have assured that action will be taken against the illegal drug trade in Mauganj, with teams already being formed to address the MLA's concerns.
