Renowned singer Kanhaiya Mittal, known for the popular song "Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain," is likely to join Congress, potentially delivering a major setback to the BJP in Haryana. Mittal, who gained fame during the UP elections, has expressed his interest in aligning with Congress after being displeased with the BJP for not receiving an election ticket.

In an interview with ABP News, Mittal clarified that while he is not upset with the BJP, he feels a connection with Congress. He mentioned that he had not previously been involved with any political party but now believes Congress is a better fit for him. Referring to prominent figures like Vinesh Phogat joining Congress, Mittal stated that this has influenced his decision, as he sees potential in working with the party.

When asked about his song's association with BJP's campaigns, Mittal emphasized that he would have sung for any leader who brought about the Ram Mandir verdict, whether it was Manmohan Singh or anyone else. He further added that many Congress members respect Ram and that there are people who believe in Sanatan Dharma within the party.

Mittal's public shift has been evident for a while, particularly after he shared a photo on his social media handle on September 4 with Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia. He congratulated and thanked them, signaling his alignment with Congress.

Kanhaiya Mittal has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of devotional music, with numerous hit bhajans and songs. His song "Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain" became immensely popular, garnering over 30 million views on social media within just a week.
