In his reaction to the BJP fielding Rajesh Agarwal from Ambikapur, sitting MLA and Deputy CM TS Singhdeo has reiterated his confidence of winning yet again.
Chattisgarh Deputy CM and Congress leader TS Singhdeo told the media, “It’s not a new name for us…He was earlier in Congress…The votes here have been associated with Congress traditionally…It’s a region associated with Congress so the party will get the push”.
It need be mentioned that BJP took time to announce its candidate from Ambikapur amid speculations that Congress leader Chintamani Maharaj might be given party ticket from here with joining of BJP.
But as fate would have it, BJP has gone ahead and announced Rajesh Agarwal from this seat against Singhdeo.
