'Red Line Crossed': Canadian MP Chandra Arya Condemns 'Khalistani Attack' on Brampton Hindu Temple

Canadian MP Chandra Arya condemns Khalistani attack on Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, calls for community action and accountability for safety

Chandra Arya

Canadian MP Chandra Arya has strongly condemned a violent attack by Khalistani extremists on Hindu-Canadian devotees at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton.

Arya expressed grave concerns, stating that these extremists are exploiting Canada’s freedom of expression laws to further their agenda, allowing them to act with impunity. He urged Hindu-Canadians to assert their rights and hold politicians accountable for their community's safety.

The attack, captured on widely circulated videos, shows a mob wielding sticks and carrying pro-Khalistani flags as they confront Hindu devotees outside the temple. This incident adds to a growing number of attacks on Hindu temples in Canada, including recent cases of vandalism and anti-India graffiti, sparking concern over increasing religious intolerance.

Peel Regional Police are investigating the incident and assured the public that they will maintain order while respecting individuals' right to protest peacefully. Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown also condemned the violence, affirming his commitment to ensuring public safety and holding perpetrators accountable.

Arya’s comments reflect a broader concern that Khalistani extremists may have infiltrated Canada’s political and law enforcement systems. He urged Hindu-Canadians to actively safeguard their community’s security and to stand united in the face of such threats.
