Rape in Birgaon, Madhya Pradesh woman files zero FIR
A case of rape involving a female student from Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, has come to light. The incident reportedly took place at a house in Birgaon, Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The victim filed a 'Zero' FIR at the Mandla Women’s Police Station in Madhya Pradesh, which was then transferred to the Urla Police Station in Raipur. A case has been registered against the accused boyfriend under Sections 376-IPC and 376(2)(n)-IPC.
According to police sources, the victim, who is a BA student, stated in her report that her friend committed the crime under the pretense of marriage. They were in a relationship for about a year, but the accused recently refused to marry her, prompting her to file a complaint. Raipur police are now preparing to record statements from both the victim and the accused, after which the arrest will be made according to legal procedures.
