Amid the ongoing tension between Bollywood actor Salman Khan and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait weighed in with advice for Salman. Tikait suggested that Salman visit a Bishnoi community temple to apologize for the past blackbuck poaching incident, linking the matter to the sentiments of the Bishnoi community. Tikait expressed this sentiment during a gathering in Baghpat, mentioning that seeking forgiveness could help preserve peace and respect among communities.

The blackbuck case dates back to 1998, when Salman was accused and convicted of poaching the endangered animal, an incident that angered the Bishnoi community due to their deep-rooted cultural and religious connection to wildlife conservation. Recently, Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail, allegedly issued death threats to Salman, reigniting tension over the blackbuck case. Tikait suggested that an apology at the Bishnoi temple might defuse the situation, highlighting the community’s support for Lawrence.

Speaking to the media, Tikait said that if there’s been a mistake, apologizing wouldn’t harm Salman and would show respect for the community’s values. He emphasized the Bishnoi community’s well-known reverence for animals and nature, mentioning that the community is backed by people from across society on this issue.
